Make parabola (by Geert Hospers)
1 or 2 years ago I wished that we can easyly make parabola.
I felt then that I was not well understood.
In Solvespace it is a hassle because Solvespace immediately starts with 4 points, a cubic spline.

I noticed that Freecad now has ""B-spline by knots" feature.

That is exactly what I want!

Viewing this very interesting Freya Holmér video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvPPXbo87ds there is a LOT of spline types.

It appears that one (Freya Holmér) may want beautifull curves, but I as a mechanical engineer want an easy way to define them.
Therefore I prefer a discription by many parabola over a mutipoint spline...

By "many parabola" I actually mean a few parabola.
An aerodynamic profile may need only 3 to 5 parabola to describe.

The benefit of the parabola is that the math remains VERY simple; that is very important if you want to make it with a CNC machine.

Also rounding edges that usually are done by specifying radius can in pratice sufficiently accurate be done as parabola.

All in all: I want the parabola as a basic construction element.
