How to prevent naked edges? (by Stefan)
Hello,
I am trying to build attached part. As you can see it has many naked edges. How can I prevent those? I already tried to extrude many parts as assembly instead of union which improved it somewhat.

I did a quick and dirty attempt and didn't bother too much about the dimensions. Your model already experienced naked edges after extruding G004. I created a new workplane (see file) and extruded that instead. I also enabled forced NURBS to triangle mesh in G006.

If you are exporting as STL, see if the export is usable.
The solver seems to have problems with too many coincident edges and faces, which can be avoided by using small overlaps for union operations. Alternatively, create the shape by using difference operations, where you can difference from air. You can use 'suppress this group's solid model' to see and draw lines inside a solid, and , anywhere in 3d for lines from top to bottom hexagon.
See attached file with a few face created.
