Difference creates red lines (by Robin M)
Hi again,

I am trying to do a boolean operation with two cylinders and I get red line but I am unable to understand why. My goal is to have a cylinder of which part of the length is a bigger diameter than the rest so I drew and extruded a circle of diameter 100 then drew a ring with an outer diameter of 100 and inner of 50 then extruded this over part of the big cylinder and set it as difference. The file is attached.

Thank you!

You have run a problem with the NURBS library as discussed in this thread

The simple solution is to increase the diameter of the outer circle for the difference operation. Note, because you are taking a difference it does not matter that is has a larger diameter than the cylinder it is cutting. Alternatively, create the object as a union of two cylinders of different sizes.,
