Rounded edges? (by Joshua)
I'm testing the capabilities of SolveSpace and I'm having trouble creating rounded edges around the entirety of a cube.

What I'm trying to achieve:

Rounding the corners of a square in a workplane and extruding it is simple enough:

Setting a workplace on top of the cube and extruding difference geometry to round the vertical edges kind of works (if "force NURBS surfaces to triangle mesh" is selected, but I don't know the downsides to using this option):

As you can see, there is still a visible edge between the 2 rounded edges which would need to be rounded off.

I have a feeling that this all might be possible with some carefully placed construction geometry and rotational difference extrusions but it's seeming like more work than it's worth.

Any tips to make something like this work?

This sort of geometry is more or less impossible to create in SolveSpace right now. It's a known limitation.

This would be a much appreciated feature. Being able to select an edge and put either a fillet or chamfer on it would be highly beneficial.

You should not go using difference. You can create hemi spheres on the corners using lathe.

Unfortunately, while being obviously useful, this is highly complex to implement, so don't expect this any time soon.
