How export ONLY edges of solid model! (by User1)
Hi, is it a trick to export only "edges of solid model" BUT NOT in STEP format, maybe in some other NURBS format?

STEP is the only supported export format that can support arbitrary NURBS curves. You can export a 3d wireframe as DXF, though, or a 2d wireframe in any vector format.

@Jonathan,

Ok. But is it a trick how export STL mesh with edges in same place as edges of solid model (curves or piecewise linear) and without internal edges of faces?

STL is triangles. Unless all the faces of your solid model are triangles, there will always be internal edges.

What are you trying to do? Most importing tools support DXF, and if you're writing the code yourself then it's not too hard to parse...
