How to rotate multiple groups (by Samu)
Hi,

I did the following:
1) g002 - sketch in plane
2) g003 - extrude
3) g004 - sketch in plane
4) g005 - extrude [active]

I then clicked on 'new group step rotating' to try and rotate my body which consists of 2 extruded sketches.

However when I do this only g005, the second extrude, is rotated.

What am I doing wrong? I would have thought that both extrudes would be rotated together. When I do the extrude, I had union selected. The two groups don't intersect, but the second extrude is from the surface of the first extrude.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Just came across this other post.
https://solvespace.com/forum.p...mp;parent=93&tt=1383808993

Based on this post I presume that I have extrude and rotate g003 and then extrude and step rotate g005.

I suppose I could also migrate the second sketch g004 into the first sketch g002.

What is the easiest way to do this?

The "proper" way to do it is save the file up to g005 under some name, then create a new file and Link the first file in. Then "step rotate". The whole linked file will be rotated.
