Regular Polygon Construction (by Ale)
Hello everyone,
I'd like to know what is the fastest way ( with fewer constraints) to draw a regular polygon, starting from the inscribed or circumscribed circle and knowing the number of sides.

I've used a rotate group, a single angle and two vertical constraint for this 20-gon.

I cannot add a dimension to this polygon (by Samuel Schlatter)
Hi,

I tried to use the approach by whitequark to draw a polygon. Unfortunately I cannot dimension the polygon because the drawing is overdefined. How can I add a radius dimension to this polygon?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam

Only the first sketch (the vertical construction line) has one degree of freedom left. You can add a dimension (radius) to this line to fully constraint the polygon.
