Offset bottom of extrusion - A good idea? (by Paul)
Just wanted to ask if there is much interest in having the ability to offset the bottom of an extrusion. I've seen complaints that the origin of an extrusion can't be moved after creation, and I think what those folks wanted to do is offset the solid in the direction of the extrusion.

I'm thinking of another checkbox in the text window to allow offset of an extrusion. This would allow the user to drag and constrain both ends of an extrusion independently. Currently the bottom is either fixed at the 2D sketch or symmetric to the "new" end.

Would this be a good feature, and if so what are the use cases?

Paul,

I think this could be useful for some limited applications. Its not exactly obvious to me what those may be right now, but I'm sure it pops up on occasion.

Thank you for asking, Paul. Could it be possible share an example to help visualize the idea?
