Printing stops at 4.5 inch height (by Peter Bunge)
My Mingda Magician makes an improperly printed weak line at just over 4 inches height then stops extruding but continues going through the motions above 4.5 inches height. It is repeatable for a bracket I was making and for a simple test of a thin walled tube that was supposed to reach 6 inches height. The bracket failed after about 4 hours and the tube after about 1.5 hours, faster because it was simpler. It cannot be "heat creep".
Apart from that the printing is good above and below the fault line but the top 1.5 inches is missing.
Cura was updated after the first failure. It did not help.
I am using Solvespace on Win 11. The sliced model looks good.
This is repeatable at the same height on different files.
The change of colour in the piece on the left is where I paused to load a new reel of PLA.

This is clearly a printer issue. Check your Z axis belts/screws.
