Get perfect outline of concave shape! (by Vicky)
I have a situation where i need to obtain tight outline of parts made in solvespace. I was able to obtain the outline as shown in the left picture but with extra lines, presumably because of the concave shape of the object. I opened this part in solvespace to show how the outline is. Moreover the lines itself are not interconnected, so i cannot loop through to find intersection and trim extra edges. Tried various techniques but will require extra efforts. Do you guys have any simple solution?
I want this information to make collider on the unity side, so that i can know which object was clicked.

It remains unclear what you're even trying to do, how you're going about it, or why.
klein bottle (by cmpxchg)
with some fantasy, I see a modelling attempt of a klein bottle in solvespace. Is that even possible?

Vicky,
There is no algorithm for selecting the "outline" of a shape implemented in SolveSpace. What you are seeing in your second screen shot is what I call the "thick edges" (not sure what the correct drafting/mechanical engineering term is) - simply put those are edges supported by solid only on one side from the viewer's point of view.
Like Paul I am also curious to see what exactly you are implementing and I hope we will at some point, "when it's ready" - GPL and all ;-)

@paul It's bit difficult to explain what I am exactly doing, so I thought I'll make a video of what's done so far to clear my goals.
@ruevs yes I'll share the code on got repo.
