Rotating view in X only (or Y or Z...) (by Simon ASHBY)
This is about navigation commands: Is there a user interface doc that I have not discovered yet? I don't have a haptic 4D positioner, I am using a mouse under Win10. These are my queries:

1. How to spin or drag the view in X only (or Y or Z only)? Dragging the little 3-arrow XYZ axis Normals icon in the LH lower screen corner? (sorry I don't know what to call it!)

2. I found the '9' command which flips an entity 90deg in the screen axis, but are there other commands, like flip view 90deg(in X... etc)?

3. Commands to orient the display immediately to TOP/FRONT/BACK are extremely useful, most users understand how these will match to their particular entity's orientation (X+, -X, +Y etc). Often R-clicking on the XYZ axis is used for this.

I found the W command but it demands extra keystrokes and mouse coordination to manually orient the view so that one face is nearly parallel to the screen plane before it will achieve the desired view (which is unusual in my other CAD experience).

4. I'd love commands to orient an entity to X+, X- etc (as above) prior to trying to apply constraints on its Normals.

5. Dragging/moving with cursor arrow keys would be useful as it is inherently one-dimensional, On many CAD packages the mouse drag can be constrained to one screen axis which is very useful.

6. Assemblies are considered important in SolveSpace; the above commands are very important for assembling parts into a structure.

(I am otherwise a happy user.
NB I do have a Wacom Intuos tablet but haven't tried it with SS yet, but the tablet offers nothing that would help, as far as I can see.)

Rotating view in X only (or Y or Z...) (by Simon Ashby)
EDIT (by OP):
I see my post here could be mistaken for a UI guide - I actually meant to highlight several missing commands that I can't find in SolveSpace - can anyone help me either to do any of these actions, or just say they don't exist?
Thanks
Simon A

View/Nearest Ortho View (F2)orients the view so that the view normal is aligned to the nearest plane normal out of the screen. Control + middle mouse restricts rotation to about the view normal.

Alignment of assemblies is best done by using constraints, which include same orientation of axis vectors.

In addition to W
F2 - View | Nearest Ortho View
Also helps a bit with 2 and 3.

Sorry for the redundant post - had not refreshed for half a day :-)
