ANSI Drawing Formats (by Daniel Engineering Solutions)

I've been working on some ANSI Drawing formats for production of rudimentary 2D drawings. I'm not exactly sure where to archive these templates so I figured I'd upload them here for everyone to use.

If this isn't the correct way to use the forum please let me know and I'll remove this post.

Enjoy and if you have any questions feel free to ask here, on the subreddit, or on my youtube channel of the same name.

I can't upload multiple files, so I've zipped them all and attached them here.

TTF (by Todd)
Daniel -

How does solvespace deal with missing fonts? When I try and use your templates on linux (I build and run solvespace within a docker container running ubuntu:latest), the text layer has an error. I am guessing that this is because I am missing the fonts specified in your template drawings.

Great videos!

Fonts (by Todd)
I was able to select bitstreamserasansromanbuiltin.ttf for each of the text elements. Still, it's strange that solvespace doesn't default to an installed font if the specified font doesn't exist.

It's intentional - apart from solving (constraints) SolveSpace never modifies your sketches automatically (on it's own). Similarly when liked entities can not be found it asks you to point it to them.

JFTR, These drawing templates requires free & opensource "Raleway" font.

Download & Install `Raleway-Thin.ttf` font on PC before opening templates:

Raleway Font (by steve)
I installed `Raleway-Thin.ttf`. `Raleway-Thin.ttf` font works in MS Word but not in SolveSpace. Replaced 'Raleway-Thin.ttf' with 'arial.ttf' in the file. The text now shows up but is outline text, not solid text.

I apologize for all the issues with the fonts. It's on my to-do list to update these templates with use of either 1) the comments font, or 2) a more standard font. I'm hoping I can get that done by the end of the year.

This will probably clarify/explain with the missing font after installing on Windows:
