Operations on imported STL (by Peneloppe)
The STL models disappearsif I add an extrusion on it, only the vertices are left, is there a way to keep the model or is it more for guidelines and model over it?

That isnt supposed to happen. Are you using the latest version? Can you share a simple test case?

I too had the issue in native format when zoomed in over a excess limit the solid just disappeared

I`m using edge ( obviously I guess? ) I downloaded one like a month ago, can't find it in releases anymore, only on the main page there is a link, in "ABOUT" I think I have 3 versions ending by : 2ab,c16,e4b. They all do the same with any models. as soon as I extrude anything the imported STL, the geometry disappears and only the vertices are left showing and it doesn't export either, only the newly extruded layers.

I can reproduce the problem and will have a look for a solution in the next day or two. This is making me doubt that it ever worked, but I thought I did some booleans with it before merging...

If you have a model forced to triangle mesh prior to linking an STL it works properly. I think a mistake was made in one of the commits and caused STL groups not to be forced to triangle mesh, but they don't have a NURBS model so everything after is combined with the non-existant NURBS version of the STL.
I'm guessing it worked prior to this:

This should be fixed in the newest "edge" build on github.
