An AppImage, Poh-LEEZE!! (by retired_guru)
I want to run 3.0-R1 on MX Linux, but nothing available works. Won't compile from source--probably due to age of Debian Buster libraries. Snap doesn't work worth a damn outside of Ubuntu. Terminally taboo to use an Ubuntu repo. Any chance of seeing 3.0 as an AppImage? Would help a lot of us who aren't riding the Ubuntu bandwagon. TIA.

Have you followed the Instructions, including the library installs, from the downloads page, They should work on Debian as well as they do on Ubuntu. Also, when trying to compile, for any missing header files (-dev) in the error messages, and install them.

Hi, I'm MX Linux user too & successfully use SolveSpace 3.x 'nightly' builds from 'notesalexp' PPA:
DEB for MX-19 - https://notesalexp.org/packages/en/buster/amd64/solvespace/
All known 'nightly' builds for various platforms: https://git.io/SolveSpace3x

Andrew: I don't remember off-hand the specifics, just that I couldn't satisfy compiling requirements at the times I tried. Mysuspician is that with MX Linux based on the Debian stable, I couldn't match the newer libraries without upsetting the stability (I need) of my system. Thanks for the reply, nonetheless. Much appreciated.
app4soft: Ah, thanks! I've passed this info on at the Mastodon instance I frequent, as well Again, thanks!
Sorry for the tardy replies. My bad. I expected an email that replies were made to this post and I never got one.
