Tutorial on revolving a sketch or extruding a revolved feature? (by Andy)
Hi folks, brand new SolveSpace user, just working my way thru the tutorials. Is there one for revolved parts and features? I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't figure out how to create a plane thru an axis (or create an axis, for that matter).

Thanks!

Sketch the outline and select a line that will work as the axis to revolve around then goto New Group and select lathe.

Like yugami said. There's no specific "axis" entity; the revolve is just about any line segment, typically a construction line segment that you sketch in the same group as the contour to be revolved.

And there's no way to specify a plane through a single line segment, since that's not enough to uniquely determine the plane. You can specify a plane through two non-parallel line segments, or in various other ways. That's not necessary to create a lathed feature, though.
