Versuch Zahnrad für GT2 Zahnriemen, please help (by Walter Cadek)
I drawed the profile of a GT2-Belt from the drawings i found and defined the distace to the center by the angle between 2 construction lines. this
Starting with 45° worked well, all DOF's are OK, but then I got problems when reducing the angle.
15° work well, smaller angles results in a red screen and a totally destroyed profile.
Please see the enclosed file and try to reduce the angle.
My target is a 5° angle, which would allow a Toothwheel with 72 tooths.
The Idea is, to steprotate the belt-profile by the amount of tooth and difference it from a cylinder.
Help is warmly welcome, it would be a way to produce toothwheels in solvespace.

Sorry, problem solved,
I saved the file, exit solvespace and after restart it worked.

Updated meanwhile to solvespace 3.1, which is not in the repository of my raspi 4b 8G, but at the end I was successful.
Now when I tried to design a lock for the belt ends, I translated the profile 8 times.
When designing the indoor for the belt, I could not even constrain V or H, as you can see at the enclosed file.
V-constained lines are moveable, but still as V signed. Same with H-constrain.
The message is: "activate a workplane". But there is only this workplane and it should be active, because it is selected as active and at the menu Scetch in Workplane is selected.
May be there is a difference in
- Step Translating from the menu
- Paste Transformed from mouse right click
May be the first methode generates a New Workplane which is selectable,
the second does it not. Or generates it a "Hidden Workplane" ?

Now I tested both methodes of Step Translating.
In both cases it is impossible to make any further scetches in the "translated plane",
whatever hidden plane it is.
Please check this, step translating in any form is unusable for me.
Sorry to make this bad experiances, I designed several helpful objects for my 3D-Printer and was happy that solvespace worked successful and fast, even on my Raspberry.
But now I am a kind of frustrated, changing to openscad seems to be the only option.

You can select a plane, for you drawing, the XY plane and the use the sketch menu and click "in workplane". You also need to do this to set the workplane for extruding.
