Sketch in 3D. How to create a solid object (by Kyril)
Hello,
I am looking to export to STL a work that was created inside a single sketch in a 3D group. It is a basic pyramid. in this case, I am not using the extrusion from a countertop group due to the specific shape of the pyramid. But when I try to export STL, Solvespace says "the active group is emplty; nothing to export".
Does anyone have an answer to my problem?

thks
Kyril

To create 3d solids you must use the extrude/lathe/revolve/helix tools. Your sketch in 3d simply does not have any surfaces to export to STL.

The typical workflow is to define a workplane/sketch in workplace. Draw a profile. Extrude it (or revolve) and combine with union/difference/intersection. Then repeat by defining a new workplane.

A pyramid will probably take two extrusions, with the second one being combined via a difference or intersection.
