Impressed by Solvespace (by Thomas Herrmann)
Hi,
I used Freecad for qute some time an F360 for five years and a friend just told me about Solvespace. I´m really impressed so far. It took like 30mins to get used to it and creating simple stuff is already 10x faster(workflow) than in Freecad.
I really feel that Solvespace has great potential.
Additionally some things I would vote for. (I´m a bad programmer if at all)
- Import existing projects in STEP format (even that would be too important as one could start things new in a native format.)
- Loft along a rail or sweep a profile along a rail(often needed)
- Filets and Chamfers
- offset in sketches and offsetting faces (correcting tolerances the dirty way)
- Hexagon sketch (lazieness)
Cheers!
