constraint between g002 and g004 is missing (by Juergen)
First of all thanks to SolveSpace for the intuitive program, even when the browser remembers me to the old DOS area :-) RC2 is running w/o a crash so far in the Linux Mint and Mac Big Sur.

I tried the following housing
G002 create a housing for electronic and therefor I draw a square with 140 x 140 mm with arc’s at each corner. With long holes in each corner referenced to the outer lines
G003 with an extrusion assembly of 35mm (Pad)
G004 with larger long holes constrained to the center point of the long hole in G002
G005 with an extrusion difference of 30mm (Pocket)

So far all looks good, but when I go back to G002 to change the outlines to 130 x 130 the large long hole in G005 gets crashed.
The center of the large long hole in g004 does no longer reference to the center of the long hole in G002. The same happened to me when I create a more complex drawing in g004 where I thought that the constraint are related to the outlines.

I'm a newbie in mechanic construction and could not find where the error comes from.

It would help if you attached the file. But my guess is that the abrupt change from 140 to 130mm is causing strange behavior in the later groups. Perhaps something is ending up outside the perimeter rather than inside, and the constraint solver doesnt get it back?

While awkward, try changing the size by a smaller amount. If that works, repeat until you get there.

Another way is to delete the length or distance constraint and drag to the approximate right place with the mouse. You can drag unconstrained entities from earlier groups while viewing g005. This might help you to see what goes wrong if you drag too fast.

Thank you for your fast response. I have attached the file, so you can have a short look at it.

Your proposal works - by decreasing or increasing in steps of 1...2 mm is fine, but steps of 2...3mm is too fast.

Not sure if you're already using that, but "Step Dimension" will do the steps automatically.

Step Dimension (by Juergen)
I tried to do it with step dimension from 140 to 130 in steps of 1 and vice versa. The result was a broken design, see attached picture.
When I do it by hand in g002 in 1mm step it works fine on a Mac with Big Sur.

Step Dimension (by Juergen)
I extend the internal pocket design of the housing (0 DOF) and tried the step dimension of the outlines again. Same behavior. Doing it manually step by step with 1mm steps it works fine. See attached picture with a size of 135 to 135.

Yeah, I tried it and got the same result. The step dimension does the right thing in g002, but then the sketch in g004 doesn't follow properly. I relaxed constraints there and dragged it to roughly the right place, and it snapped to the right place when I re-enabled. It's a pain to drag it back right again though.

As an alternative, I deleted g004 and redrew in a workplane centered on one of the circles of the original rounded rectangle. That followed properly, I think because it defaults to "moving with" the original circle instead of defaulting to "moving with" the origin (so not moving).

Keyboard Shortcut " ' "... (by Juergen)
On Mac the keyboard shortcut " ' " for perspective projection does not work for me.
Activation via Menu -View works fine.
