basic construct in assembly in assembly (by Pascal)
Hi all together,

I don't know if this is a bug or I'm using SolveSpace wrong...

But I have multiple basic parts which are all stored in individual files. Those are all cuboids of different dimensions. I then start and assemble (New Group -> Link/Assemble) more complex structures out of the basics and save them. In a third step I use the complex parts and assemble them to an even more complex (final) structure. So far so good. Now I change one constrain in a basic cuboid, for example I increase the width of it. In the more complex parts I can see this change and I think this is intended. But if I look into the final structure I don't see the change. The final structure somehow still uses the old complex part which is assembled out of the cuboid with lower width. I would expect that the change in the basic parts affects all assemblies also the final part. Is this a bug or am I using SolveSpace wrong? I attached some files to demonstrate what I'm talking about. I created 'cuboid_3.slvs' initially with a width of 4 and assembled the complex parts and the final structure. After that I set the width of 'cuboid_3' to 15. This change can be seen in 'complex_2.slvs' but not in 'final.slvs'. This assembly still uses the old 'complex_2' with the thinner 'cuboid_3'.

Thanks for you support!

When you change a file in Solvespace, you need to open and save any siles that import that file to propagate the changes, and repeat any file that import those files....
