linked object with suppressed solid model is invisible if saved with "hide all" (by ecc)
I'm linking another object so that I can reference its dimensions in another model, so I'm suppressing its solid model. I was surprised to see that the linked object is invisible if I happen to have saved it with the "hide all" option on. Shouldn't that be a property of the viewing session, like perspective, rather than something intrinsic to the model?

Yeah, it does that. Sometimes that's nice when I want to show just some of the lines/curves from the part in the assembly (like on a solid part with stray construction lines), but kind of confusing. It would be nicer if you could change visibility per part group in the assembly without editing the part file, maybe kind of complicated though.
