Cannot open file I just saved (by Azial)
Hi,
I just saved a file (in the attachement) and quit solvespace. Now it can't open it again (spinning beachball forever), the file seems corrupt. I suspect a translate group to be the culprit, because it failed to generate mesh.
I'm using the 2.3 Release on macOS.

The file is not corrupt but you are hitting a bad case in the mesh backend. I've just verified that the file can be successfully opened by SolveSpace built from the master branch. If you cannot build a binary let me know and I'll do that.

Thanks! It would be great if you could build me a binary for macOS. When I tried it myself the last time, something went wrong and there were no menu and commands didn't work.

Sure.

Unfortunately, the app won't start. There is a library missing:
Termination Reason: DYLD, [0x1] Library missing
Application Specific Information:
dyld: launch, loading dependent libraries
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libpng16.16.dylib
Referenced from: /private/var/folders/*/solvespace.app/Contents/MacOS/libfreetype.dylib
Reason: image not found

Ok, installed libpng using homebrew. It's working now, thanks!

... or not. There is still the issue with the missing menu and shortcuts. I.e. not only the constraints (v, h, o, ...) cannot be set via the keystrokes (clicking the GUI-buttons and right-click menu works though), but there are no file-saving/open commands working. So I can't save the changes I made to the file.

Funny...I managed to save the file indirectly by copying the temporary file created by solvespace while its opened xD.

@Azial, what's your macOS version?

it's 10.12.5

Btw. the missing menu and keystrokes are caused by localization. This one works: https://github.com/ghoss/solvespace
