Helper lines (by Mike Lehmann)
I'm trying to create a couple of circles with the centers on a line. This line should only be used for construction but is no outer or inner bound of the 2d form.

I've played with datum points but I'm not sure these are the solution. Is it OK to use a non-closed contour to align the circles? Does that has no negative impact on the resulting object?

If you set the line as "construction" (Sketch -> Toggle Construction), then it won't be included in the contour to be extruded or lathed, and it won't appear in an exported file.

Perfect. Thank you (for the quick answer and the excellent application)!
