2d-tutorial conflicting constraints? (by Mike Lehmann)
Today I've found SolveSpace and I'm really impressed with it (having used Solid Edge before) about its size, features, simplicity, stability and documentation.

Currently, I'm trying to master the 2d-tutorial, but as soon as I try to define the size between the 2 inner rectangles, I'm getting a constraints conflict (though the tutorial screenshots' constrains look similar to mine).

Did I overlook an error?

Thanks. The problem is that the right vertical edge of the left rectangle is constrained both vertical and symmetric-vertical; it's a bug (or at least deficiency) that that's not reported immediately.

After removing the redundant vertical constraint, the sketch should perform as expected. If you constrain symmetric-vertical or -horizontal by selecting the line (and not its two endpoints), then the redundant vertical or horizontal constraint will be removed automatically.
