Trying to model a milled dovetail (by yugami)
Playing around with some ways to properly model a milled dovetail slot.

I keep running into boolean issues when I try to lathe the round end.

I've attached what I have so far. Its currently a mess but I haven't managed anything better.

Seems to stem from the fact that the 2nd step has to follow the outline of the 1st.

The NURBS Booleans handle coincident planes correctly, but not (as you observe) generally coincident curved surfaces. Do you need exact curves, or would a triangle mesh do?

I can probably get by with the mesh. I'm more just messing around and getting something I can extract measurements from.
