How to make a hexagon? (by pat)
Searched the forum and there's references to making a hexgon but no actual explanations. I've tried sketching and using angle constraints and length constraints but can't seem to get everything equal. I've just tried the copy and sweep on a line and ended up with 6 unjoined lines that I can't figure out how to connect.

Is there a tutorial for making hexagons/octagons kinds of things anywhere?

Actually I finally figured it out. I didn't know the edge length, only distance between flats and points. I had to calculate the edge length, create a polyline and constrain each segment to that length then add in a few 120 degree angle constraints. Perfect hexagon.

titled How to design a 6 sided bolt head?

It gives the way to construct a hexagon, or any other regular polygon, using a construction circle.
