Change active workplane (by Ed Handrich)
When I create a new file, I am automatically forced into the XY plane. Is there a way to remove g002-sketch-in-plane and/or change the plane? I can't add a new "sketch-in-plane" and I also can't delete the only active group.

You can create a new workplane (e.g. XZ) by selecting the origin rotating the desired plane into view and then select New Workplane. The XY workplane can now be deleted.
